We had just returned from a grueling 7-day, 70+ mile trekking circumnavigation of the Cordillera Huayhuash range in Central Peru, a route that involved 7 passes over 15,000 ft. in elevation, all higher than any mountain in the contiguous United States . . .
Read MoreA short while back, Eric & Mindy met a young couple in a local coffee shop that had just arrived in Huaraz. The Source sandals were a clear sign that these were travelers from Israel. It wasn't much of a conversation, as these were folks of few words, but they did receive Gospel tracts and expressed gratitude for a casual dinner invitation . . .
Read MoreAs we travel around the globe and declare the God of Israel as the one true God and the Messiah of Israel as the only hope for salvation to Israeli backpackers, I am astounded that so few know Messiah was prophesied to also be a gift for the Gentiles.
Read MoreMy family and I just spent a little over 2 months in Bariloche, Argentina working with Eric & Mindy Trent to reach Israeli backpackers who typically frequent the area from January to April. Things did not go as we had anticipated, and there were some unforeseen trials. At one point, we simply couldn't wait to move north to Peru.

Read MoreToday, Brother Bishnu, our faithful national partner from Nepal, landed in Peru as he says: "to labor with friends to reach the Israeli backpackers and to get myself better trained in Jewish Evangelism so we can reach the Israeli backpackers who transit every year through Kathmandu."
Read MoreThank you for your continued prayers for Mindy and me as we continue to labor here in South America. The past four weeks have been busy and very fruitful. Multiple Hebrew-English New Testaments have gone out to various guests, Gospel tracts have been distributed to hikers along various trekking routes around San Carlos de Bariloche, and we have had opportunity to open-air preach to the public.
Read MoreWe are very grateful for those who recently gave toward the purchase of blankets for the elderly and new mothers in Nepali villages. These are a real blessing for the villagers during the cold; and they are an avenue for meeting a real need in the spirit of James 2:15-16 while preaching the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah to those who have never heard.

Read MoreThe title of this edition of our insider newsletter appears in the devanagari script and is Nepali for Himalayan Labors of Love, not so much our love for the mountainous peoples and places of South Asia which is strong, but the love and hospitality manifested to us along our recent stint in Nepal and Ladakh by faithful Gentile brethren who know trial, tribulation, and persecution . . . and yet, like us, these possess a love for the Jewish people and have labored to help enable us to reach the lost sheep of the House of Israel who wander through their Himalayan backyards.

Read MoreSince 2013, we have principally gone to the Gentiles in areas where we have invested work, engaging in opportunities for Jewish Missions along the way to the Gentiles. This past Saturday, in response to clear direction from the Lord in the Scriptures, through circumstances, and proceeding from godly counsel received from those who have followed this work for a long time, I laid out one final fleece, proposing that we flip the script moving forward: Instead of going to the Gentiles and engaging in Jewish missions along the way to the Gentiles, it’s time to go to the Jewish people and engage in missions to Gentile nations along the way to the Jewish people.

Read MoreGreetings from the Peruvian Andes. As I sit here penning this ministry update, I'm staring out the huge bay window of our apartment in Huaraz at the Cordillera Blanca and the double peak of Huascaran (22,205 ft.), the highest mountain in Peru. My soul sings Toda la gloria del Creador de estas montanas, gloria al Dios pos las opportunidades en esta lugar.

These pastors and leaders don't have much training, and it's very difficult for them to leave their families and flocks for long trainings in Kathmandu. That's why we are going to them . . .
